DENISE COURCOUX

From 2012 Courcoux aspired as a mature student at the University of Manchester studying MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies. From there, Courcoux developed her career and overcome particular fears about being a part-timer and not writing essay for a few years.

The presentation given by Courcoux was beyond informative and helpful. It was not confusing or too much, Courcoux guided us through how important and vital volunteering and casual work can be when trying to go up the ladder within the art industry. From giving us a detailed view of her postgraduate studies and exhibitions at the BlueCoat that furthered into employment, Courcoux went deeper and guided us through small independent museums that were effective and had an advantage to employment opportunities when working as a management officer.

The most important part of the presentation that I respected and thought was really helpful would be the advice Courcoux displayed and mentioned how she would tell herself that if she were to go back to that moment. From highlighting the importance of time management when writing job applications to reassure us that networking isn't scary. Courcoux's presentation was extremely helpful, satisfyingly detailed and well structured. I hope her career goes a long way and in the right direction.
