LIFE DRAWING
When studying my first year of Fine Art at the University of Chester, I took part in a range of life drawing lessons that has encouraged me to develop my skills further. I wish to take part in further life drawings sessions to strengthen my skills and broaden my ideas for future projects and artwork.

DOCUMENTATION
An Ethnographic study for Dina Robinsons' project 'Documentation'
Whilst working on my project, I needed a dancer to work with so I could draw and document their figure and manipulate it with various art mediums & techniques. This is how I began collaborating with Dina Robinson who contacted me about her project.
Dina wanted me to observe her dance sessions and watch how her body moves, leading to producing a range of drawings and paintings within each workshop we did together.

This benefited both of us and caused two completely different but powerful outcomes for both projects. I look forward to working with Dina again on future projects, for now, please have a look through the workshop pieces that were created through the collaboration.

ISOLATION
A project discovering the manipulation of emotions, how one can paint with such intensity that the viewer is unable to look away
This project was intriguing when working with photographs of shards of broken glass, manipulating the outcome with various materials to add impulse and intensity to a painting and drawing.

For each piece of work, I wanted to explore different techniques and materials, exploring how they interact with each other and create work that becomes more involved and powerful together than in just slight sections.
​
Below you can see both pieces together and how they have been developed and linked with each other and other pieces.
MOVEMENT
A project exploring the movement of the figure & experimenting with how you can capture the movement and gestural language onto paper. A drawing that can come to life!
This project was exhilirating, there is so much that could be experimented and explored with that future projects will definitely be carried out further with the techniques and materials used and developed.

This project represents body movement, collaborating with a dancer has had a huge impact on this work, with awkward angles and body gestures, to the exploration in movement from music. Combining everything together to create abstract and figurative art that balances each other out.
​
